Cleanse Your Body with Fresh Fruit

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:19 am

Doing a body cleansing and detox program several times a year is one of the most powerful health care choices we can make. Detoxing our body has hardly been more needful than the last 20 years. There is an unprecedented and unnerving number of toxic chemicals in our air, water, and in the food we eat.

A monthly body detoxification program, is usually not sufficient to rid our body of toxins, particularly if our day-to-day eating routines are less than ideal. And So the second smartest health care practices we can set about is to implement some healthy habits into our day-to-day life. There are hundreds of good habits you can choose, one of which is to add more fresh fruit to your diet.

Fruit is a natural body detoxifier, particularly the acid fruits, such as lemons, grapefruit, limes, pineapple. If you set about the habit of having 2 or 3 pieces of fruit each day, you will, in effect, create a modest, unobtrusive detox maintenance program for yourself. Here are some ideas for experiencing the greatest gain from eating fruit:

It is best to eat fruit by itself because it breaks down so promptly in the digestive track. Never eat fruit after a big meal or with meat. You will bring on a putrefication response in your intestine that will likely create indigestion, gas or bloating and sabotage your nourishment. The optimum time to eat fruit is first thing in the morning. Another superb time to eat fruit is as a snack in the middle or late afternoon. Pick a low glycemic fruit like apple or pineapple if blood sugar can be a problem.

With fruit, more is not necessarily better. Fruit holds sugars and too much at once can spike your blood glucose levels like a candy bar.
