I have been noticing a lot of great new blogs of late. I am still waiting to decide about all the twitter bustle. I still enjoy blogs and have a sizeable number in my feed reader.
The point with blogs is that you can find hidden treasures, and they are from people that actually like to can write.
Sure you can find some groovy souls on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for people with attention defecit disorder or who dont like to write decent posts. Yes, masses of people twitter and also blog, and those people are cool by me, but I am always and always a blog fan.
Blogs squeeze the author to actually articluate their belief. Twitter however merely lets you to posit it. Call me old fashioned but I suppose there is a point where smaller is no longer fresher. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Specially when it comes to technology. Certainly there has to be a place where we recognise substance counts. Value matters. What do you suppose?
Maybe the proper answer dwells in equilibrium. And compromise. You cannot squeeze individuals to have substance and not be superficial. But, too possibly you need to pressure the neo libral hippies to lighten up a fraction too?
