Ever heard of a bridesmaids party? Most of you will probably say you’ve never heard of it. That’s ok but it is quite a common practice that most brides don’t realize there is a name for.
No, it isn’t the same as the bridal shower. The bridesmaids party is a gathering called for by the bride exclusively for her bridesmaids. It doesn’t have to be a formal affair. A simple gathering for lunch or dinner and some time to chat is actually sufficient.
This is the time for the bride to say thank you to these family members and friends who are playing a very active role in making the wedding happen the way the couple hopes. While it is an honor to be asked, some people do decline to be part of a wedding party. The bridesmaids rarely just sit around and do nothing but show up for the ceremony. Usually, they’ll be doing a whole lot of errand running for the bride and groom; hence the party in their behalf.
This is normally set for a time when all the bridesmaids can be present – maybe for the final fitting of their dresses. When the fitting is done, whisk them off to the venue of your choice be it your home or a fancy restaurant. It’s best if you gave them warning to clear their schedules ahead of time.
This is the time to discuss with them any particular tasks you want them to do for your wedding. This is also the time to say thank you for their help. If you have a gift for the bridesmaids, now is the time to give it as well.
You can have this as late as the day before your wedding though, about a week or two before would be better. You’ll be done with the major details of your wedding and have time to relax and have fun with your friends. This time, it’s just for them.

Peculiar wedding traditions that may seem odd to others but makes sense to those who uphold them – will continue with tradition because of the symbolized meanings behind them.
Every culture on the planet will en-act some form of marriage ritual where man and woman bond in unison. Laws and norms in different countries may differ on how wedding ceremonies are conducted.
No matter the colour of a person`s skin there is one part of a wedding that will not alter and that of course is the wedding celebrations. Marriage is a special occasion celebrated by close friends and family. Guests join in the fun to wish the happy couple good fortune and health while at the same time filling their bellies and drinking the Shannon dry. In other words eat drink and be merry
An odd tradition that was carried out was where the wedding cake decorated in all its finery – piped cream swirls – pink sugar rosebuds all so pleasing to the eye was placed the night before the wedding under the brides pillow. The bride would rest her weary head onto the pillow and dream of the future. The wedding cake that once stood so grand was not quite so pleasing to the eye now.
Normally the real cake would be crumbled up and thrown at the married couple as a sign of fertility. It is because of this custom that we shower confetti/rice over the bride and groom after the ceremony.
Wedding cakes represented many things, e.g. the cake that stood the tallest with all the tiers and layers was classed as the most glamorous cake. Once again fertility was behind the tower building of the cake, the bride and groom would add the number of layers to their confectionary structure to denote how man children they would like to have.
How those famous words of tying the knot came about goes back in time in ancient tribal existence. During ancient tribal times the bride-to-be is wrapped in a sheeps fleece tied at the front in a knot. This symbolized virginity. It was the husbands place after consummating the marriage to untie the knot after the wedding night.
Tribal clans and groups celebrated weddings and marriage ceremonies in all sorts of odd different ways. An odd tradition in ancient tribal times is where the best man is handed a very important if not dangerous role to play at the wedding. His duties entailed abducting likely brides from other tribes. How he would do this was by clubbing the maiden over the head and drag her back to the village in a very similar way of how we see the cave man with woman.
The best man also takes on the role of minder throughout the wedding service where he is appointed to apprehend or fight off angry relatives of the bride with his battleaxe.
Today in modern society we are not so barbaric, the only thing we have in common of the days gone by are the (old battleaxe)
A tribal battleaxe was a tool and ours is a fool – the mother in law. (Not all)

Generally, there are three main speeches in a wedding reception. The first is the father’s speech, something that most of us forget. Secondly will be the bridegroom’s speech, then it comes to the best man’s speech.
Father’s speech
The brides father should be called upon by the best man to propose a toast to both the bride and the bridegroom. But before doing that, relatives and close friends ar to say a few simple words of the bride. Then the brides father will appreciate the bride in words and followed by the toast.
Bridegroom’s speech
The bridegroom will take the opportunity to thank their parents on the years they were brought up for the love and care, and also for the blessings they receive from them.
If there are members in the family or close friends that are unable to attend your wedding, you should mention them and wish them a speedy recovery. Lastly, appreciate those great helpers that have help you through the day for a job well done.
Best man’s speech
It is important that the best man’s speech to be light hearted and fun. It is suppose to be the most interesting part in the whole event with humour and stories to tell. Here is an example:
“I am honoured to be the best man. I like to thank John for his kind words.
John was born in the year of great human achievements, first man on the moon, the first concorde to be flown, and thus influence John to be an astronaut, though he did not make it due to no rockets in Singapore. And his hero, the six million dollar man. And so he became a pilot, not too far from being an astronaut.
John was a success in everything he did. But is he all such a goodie two shoes. During the younger days, John stole the car keys from his Dad and drove around the street, in the end he knock the car on to the neighbors gate. Yep, everyone of you in this ballroom would probably think that he is such an irresponsible kid, but that was just a BMX bicycle.”
Something like that will cheer the audience up and follow by some games they have planned.

It is very interesting how the lines of common sense seem to get blurred in marriage. Things we know in our head seem to get lost as we are propelled by emotions.
There are some basic attributes that will help strengthen or tear down your marriage. As simple as they are, they are easily set aside or overlooked. So let’s take a look and get a good reminder right now of the important “do’s” and “don’ts” in a marriage.
*DO ~ pray.
A couple that prays together connects on an emotional level. You unite in your beliefs and values; therefore you bond emotionally and spiritually.
*DO ~ show affection.
Don’t be afraid to kiss in front of the children or forget that holding hands is fun and magical. Affection breaks down walls that can be built up between the two of you.
*DO ~ play and laugh.
Marriage should be fun! There’s enough work involved. Don’t forget to ENJOY each other in addition to sharing the workload.
*DO ~ encourage each other.
Just because you are married doesn’t mean you or your spouse don’t need encouragement. We all do. Hearing that someone believes in you or is encouraging something that is important to you, makes all the difference in the world in how you feel about yourself and them.
*DO ~ invest time in your relationship.
The toughest obstacle for parents is finding time alone together. Make sure you do. Whether it’s an hour locked away together before bedtime or a set date night…find what works for your situation.
*DON’T ~ refuse to forgive.
We teach our children to forgive, so should we! Some hurts take longer to heal than others, but grudges and resentments only push away love.
*DON’T ~ snipe.
Sarcasm is the biggest disease in our homes these days. And, ouch! – it can be painful! Sniping and making sarcastic comments never builds up a home or a marriage. Work now at breaking this harmful habit.
*DON’T ~ compare.
Your husband may not be like your friend’s husband, but hey, you’re not like your friend either! We all have strengths and weaknesses. Comparing only enhances the weaknesses instead of boosting the strengths. And it’s never fair to anyone.
*DON’T ~ criticize.
We all make mistakes. Give each other some room okay?
*DON’T ~ play the blame game.
We all do this. Why is it so tough to say, “I’m Sorry”? Blaming never solves the issue at hand – it only divides you as a couple.
*DON’T ~ want to personally win.
Marriage is a team. You should be on the same side.
*DON’T ~ yell and fight so hard.
Disagreeing and arguing is bound to come to every marriage. But when you start the trend of yelling, slamming doors, etc – that can become a habit that ends up crippling communication. Learn to be constructive and practical when you disagree or take a time out until your emotions calm a little.
Sometimes it is good to be reminded of things. In the case of our marriages, I think it’s vital.
Here’s to the health of your marriage!

Whether you have been studying the Bible for years or if you have just read it for the first time there is always more that can be learned and understood. For Christians, the Bible is the ultimate source of truth and the guidebook for living. Therefore, it is important that each Christian understand the Bible the best that he or she can. A Bible commentary can be one of the best tools for getting the most out of Scripture.
Do you remember using Cliff’s Notes to make it through a literature class during school? Basically, a Bible commentary is like a Cliff’s Notes for the Bible. It gives explanation to difficult passages and gives in depth description about things like characters, setting, and theme. A Bible commentary is a great supplement to your daily Bible reading. Consider reading a passage of Scripture and then reading what your Bible commentary has to say about that same passage. You will be amazed at the depth and insight your Bible commentary gives.
Having a good Bible commentary or two is a great resource for people who are studying the Bible for classes or for those who are preparing to lead studies or discussions on the Bible. Almost like having your own Bible teacher, a great Bible commentary is one of the best tools you will ever have. It is great because unlike a teacher, your Bible commentary can be with you all the time.
If you are thinking of purchasing a Bible commentary for the first time, check with your pastor or with other friends for their recommendations about which Bible commentary might be the best for you. Every Bible commentary is written from a different theological perspective, so be sure that you buy a Bible commentary that matches with the beliefs of you and your local church. You may even be able to borrow a Bible commentary or two from a friend so that you can try them out and compare them before making a purchase of your own.
You can get a Bible commentary at most local bookstores, Christian bookstores, or online. If you live in a town with a college or university, you can check out their bookstore as well. Whatever it takes to get your hands on a Bible commentary, it is worth it. Your reading and understanding of Scripture will never be the same. You will grow deeper in your knowledge of the ways of God with each reading of Scripture and with each time you use your Bible commentary. Just be sure not to stop reading your Bible just because you have a Bible commentary. Even the best Bible commentary cannot replace the treasure of the Bible itself.
Martin Stoleman is an expert in using Bible tools such as the Bible commentary to make stuyding the Bible easier and more effective. Find a great Bible commentary to start your study at www.finebiblecommentary.info.

An Islamic man who converted to Christianity is called insane by judge. Wow, good PR move by the Muslims? Simply say the guy is insane, let him go, people in Christian World are happy and the Muslim followers now know that only an insane person would leave the Muslim Faith for Christianity? Do I see a pattern here? Wake up all you religious lunatics on all sides? Religion is the problem with the world. All of you are insane. A reply to this comment was greeted by Hector who stated;
“Lance I will mostly agree although I think it is the organized religion part that is dangerous because you have large groups of “true believers” all lined up ready to go and their is always someone ready to exploit that.
But Amy of course sees it much different and Amy says; “Actually the penalty for rebuking Islam is beheading….. And anyone who leaves Islam for Christianity IS crazy”
Indeed they were going to cut this guys head off, so really which is more insane; religion or this Christian Convert? Oh my God? You have to be kidding me. If you do not belong you are outcaste. If you convert they kill you. And this is somehow acceptable? Proper with human rights; of course in Catholicism they molest little kids sometimes? Why not just get rid of all religion completely? All religion should go, it is nothing more than mass hallucination and mind enslavement? Consider mass extinction of mass hallucinatory religions; all of them. Think on this in 2006.

This is why now you really need to check into and forecast if you can have a money loan at a respectable percent interest rate. A moneylender in Bend Oregon or so can have a total different actual rate of interest for a 35000 dollar deferred payment then a bank in Binghamton New York and that makes a huge clear difference in your monthly pay offs.
Many of the moneylenders wil show you a rate that looks reasonable but feels severely or so after a period of time. Be saucy today to analyze if you have a great offer or if you don’t with the merchant bank that offers you a loan. Examine to see if the bank who wants to give you a bank loan is beneficial. It makes no difference if you live in Chester Pennsylvania or in Gatlinburg Tennessee a right online check up will preserve you often a lot of incommode. 13.1 percent loan rate may look so equitable but will it stay changeless after you’re going to pay back your credit loan. At this present you can suss out rates of interest quickly online and go steady if there are other sneaky conditions you should be aware of.

The Validity of Scriptural Knowledge – Except the Carvakas, all systems of Indian Philosophy admit the validity of scriptural knowledge. In the Vedic tradition, the Vedas which are regarded as impersonal, constitute the highest authority of religion. In the tradition of the Sramanic culture of Buddhism and Jainism, the authority of scriptures rests with their prophets, who are supposed to be Omniscient as well above all desires and aversions. In the Jaina tradition, the validity of the scripture is accorded at par with direct perception since the scriptural knowledge is knowledge gained by the Omniscient being, who has directly perceived the reality.
Thus scriptural knowledge is also definite and indubious like the omniscient knowledge. This is admitted by Samantabhadra in his Apta-Mimamsa. It should also be noted that the knowledge and practice of Scriptures (Agamas) also leads to the attainment of Kevala-jnana, so as to the knower of the Srutas are called Sruta-kevalin. Anybody and everybody cannot be Srut a. In order to be a Sruta, he must fulfill the conditions of becoming desireless (Vitaraga) and he must destroy the Karmas which obscure the real nature of Sruta. Only then, such a Scriptural knowledge serves like the bliss.
According to the Vedic tradition, the Vedas manifest their own validity. Words used by us, according to them, denote things that can be cognised by other means of knowledge, and, if we cannot know them through other means, then those who utter them must be of unquestionable authority. So non-Vedic utterances cannot possess any inherent validity. According to Prabhakara, such non-Verbal knowledge is of the nature of inference because only the verbal cognition of the Vedas is strictly verbal. The Vedic thinkers adopt the doctrine of impersonate authorship perhaps to maintain is infallibility, because a person is liable to many defects. However, in order to prove the impersonal authorship of the Vedas, the Vedic thinkers; especially the Mimamsakas introduce a mystical theory of the eternality of the Vedas. They hold that the relationship between the word and its meaning is natural and not created by conversion.
The purpose of the Mimasmsakas in rejecting the authorship of the Vedas to Gods is because God, who is incorporeal, has no organs of speech and hence he cannot utter words, and if He assumes the human form, then He is subject to all the limitations of material existence and hence his utterances will not be authoritative. Then there is no tradition of divine or human authorship of the Vedas. If it is said that the Vedas are human compositions because names of saints and seers occur, it may be said that the hymns deal with the eternal phenomena of nature and the names of persons have only symbolical significance and not any historical significance. In tracing their Agamas to the utterances of Lord Mahavir, the Jainas have a more secured position. Firstly, since Mahavir is Omniscient (Kevalin) what he says must be true. Since, he is above desires (Vitaraga), what he says is free from any subjective prejudices. Lastly, since he is compassionate, what he says is for the benefits of the people. Thus the Jaina theory of scriptures as the sermons of Lord Mahavir is more intelligible rational. the adherence of one’s faith in the personality of Lord Mahavir gives a religious color. Lastly, such a theory of scriptures having its source in the personality of a realized man raises the dignity and status of man to the status of God. Omniscience is not divine but human.
It requires a Sadhana. Thus the Jaina doctrine of Agamas sets up everything in real and historical context, while the explanation of the impersonality of the Vedas is rather vague and ambiguous. However, it looses at one place-by treating the Vedic authorship as impersonal, it implies that it is per haps very-very old and ancient because a person is after all a historical event. Here the Jaina reply is that since the truth contained in the Agamas are one, eternal and permanent, it is as old as anything. The objects of the knowledge are the one and the same for all. Hence their cognition is neither new nor old. Hence, there is an argument in the teaching of all Arhats. In this sense, the teachings are eternal and universal and hence impersonal. Thus, the line of demarcation between personal and impersonal authorship of the scripture give way to a reconciliation. A prophetic utterance, in the sense, it is eternal and universal, is impersonal; however, since it comes from the mouth of a historical person, it is personal. Agama and its Interpretation – The statement of a trust-worthy person is said to be Agama. Otherwise, words themselves are inert, lifeless and even ambiguous. Hence, the validity of Sabda rests with the person who uses them. Hence the interpretation of the Agamas depend both upon the Speaker and also upon the Audience. So far, the speakership of the Agamas is concerned, it is held to be the direct sermons of the Omniscient Lord, which have been compiled and codified by their chief disciples called Ganadhara. So far the interpretation of the Agamas from the point of view of the audience is concerned, it should be clearly noted that a certain amount of intellectual ability and moral preparation is needed for the appropriate grasp of the subject matter. In absence of such a preparation, the same Agama admits of different and even conflicting interpretations about one and the same subject, like the different interpretations of the Brahma-Sutra and the Bhagavad-Gita.
The Jaina Agamas are the sermons of the Tirthankaras which have been correctly reported by the Sruta-kevalin and the Ganadhara, who are also supposed to be Sruta-kevalin and the Ganadhara, who are also supposed to be omniscient and also above all desires of love and hate, hence the validity of the Jaina Agamas is doubly raised because both the Source as well as the Course of the Agamas are pure. The Place of Samayika – There are three distinctive contributions of Jainism to Indian Culture – Equality (Sama), Self-control (Sama) and Dignity of labor (Srama). Equality or Samayika is said to be the heart of Jainism. In the Jaina religious scripture, Dvadasang or in the 14th Purva, the place of Samayika is the first and foremost among the six daily duties. Without the practice of Samayika or equality, there is no hope for any religious or spiritual realization. When a householder accepts the Jaina religion, he solemnly pledges to abide by the principle of equality. The whole of Visesavasyaka-bhasya of Jinabhadra Gani is an exposition of this principle of Samayika.
The three jewels of Jainism, i.e. Right Faith, Right Knowledge and Right Conduct depend upon the principle of equality. The Gita calls it the inner poise or the evenness of mind (Samatvam), or equal mindedness (Sama Cittatvam or Samata) and such a man who attains this is called seer with an equal eye (Samadarsinah or Sarvatra-sama-darsana). This principle of equality must be reflected both in thought and action. In thought it is the principle of Anekanta, in action it is the principle of Ahimsa. (a) Anekanta – Anekanta is the application of the principle of equality in the sphere of thought. Thus it is not a philosophy but a philosophical standpoint just as there is the Advaitic standpoint of Sankara and the standpoint of the Middle path of the Buddhists. Anekanta literally means non-absolution. Though the Anekanta Period in Jaina philosophical literature comes after the end of the Agamic period, the genesis of the Anekantic idea is already present in the Agamic literature. The famous Bhagavati Sutra refers to the important and interesting dreams that Lord Mahavira had just before attained Keval-jnana. In one of the dreams, there is reference to `multi-faced’ or `multi-colored’ (citra-vicitra) wings of Pansakholi which symbolizes the multi-faced reality.
The Buddhist also have their doctrine of Vibhajyavada or `conditional expressions’, which means that they discard one-sided view (ekansavada). However, the Buddhists believed inhajyavada to a limited extent, where as the Jainas believe it to the full extent, so that it was finally developed into the Theory of Non-absolutism (Anekantavada). In Buddhism, Vibhajya means division and Vibhajya Vyakarniya means answering a question by diving. While the Buddhists attribute the divergent attributes at the same time with regard to two different things, the genius of the Jainas is reflected in attributing the different attributes in the one and the same subject, of course, the contexts are different.
This leads to the organon of Sapta-bhangi and the multi-valued logic of Syadvada. Even in the Vedas and Upanisads, the description of the reality is in terms of contradictory attributes, like real and unreal, mobile and immobile. Nasadiya Sukta, therefore, avoids to describe the reality either as real or unreal. ThusAnekanta seems to be a dynamic of thought-reconciliation, through which we find an attempt at synthesis between apparently contradictory attributes of eternality and non-eternity of the world or finiteness or infiniteness of the Jiva or difference or non-difference between the body and the soul. Anekanta however, should not be understood to mean that reality is contradictory. It simply means that it has innumerable number of aspects and attributes which can be thoroughly comprehended only when we can put all of them together.
This is ideal of perfection, which can be attained only when we become an omniscient. However, we can have the knowledge of one or other aspect if we are free from prejudice and bias. Thus, on the one hand it has its ideal of finality of knowledge, in reality it aims at aspectal knowledge or naya. As a corollary, we have to be cautious in our speech. Lord Mahavira explained every problem with the help of Siyavaya or Syadvada. Absolutism in speech and language is as bad as absolutism in thought. The Agamic stress on Anekanta and Syadvada is due to its great adherence to Ahimsa. Anekantavada or Syadvada is extension of the principle of Ahimsa on intellectual level. Jainas think that without non-violence in thought, non-violence in practice is impossible.
(b) Ahimsa – Ahimsa follows as a logical corollary from the principle of Equality (Samya) of souls. The inequalities of physical and mental abilities are only accidental and they are due to the Karmas. How, since `life is dear to all and since everything has hot life’, we have to accept the principle of Ahimsa as an important means of spiritual realization. To the Sramanic cult of Jainism, the means are as important as the ends. Our end is no doubt self-realization or Moksa. Now, this self-realization is impossible without the love of self and this love of self is nothing other than Ahimsa, since self resides in everything. Jainism looks upon the whole world as filled with life. Nothing is fallow or sterile, nothing is dead and inert. What to speak of living beings, even plants and every portion of matter have got life. Hence, respect for life is a spiritual act, it is a law of our being.
If we forget it, life becomes well nigh impossible. `As we feel our pain, so we must feel the pain of others’, says the Acaranga. The same truth is stated in Dasvaikalika where it is clearly said that `all beings desire to live, none want to die’. All our religions accept Ahimsa as a virtue but Jainas have worked out a complete philosophy of non-violence, hence here Ahimsa is more due to rational consideration than emotional as we find in Buddhism and Christianity. The Jaina Ahimsa, embraced the whole universe and is not restricted to humanity. There we can find that Advaita Vedanta and others admit oneness of soul and practically removes the ground of mistrust and violence, which are the result of duality.
Nivarttaka Dharma – Ahimsa together with Aparigraha constitute the ethical wholeness of self-control or self-restraint in social relationship, self-control is the foundation of a higher moral life as in individual life, it is the basis of higher spiritual life. Except for the Mimamsakas, who believe in heaven etc. all the Vedic and non-Vedic systems adopt Moksa as the Summum Bonum of life, which is a state of cessation of the wheels of existence. It is happiness (Sreya) rather than pleasure (Preya) which is the goal of life. Thus self-purification (Atma-suddhi) and not the acquisition of any earthly or heavenly pleasures, which is the aim of life. The obstacles in the forms of delusion, ignorance and craving must be rooted out by practicing the different vows or Vratas, throughout life.
Hence, the agency is emphasized. In short, all these constitute the Nivarttaka Dharma or world-withdrawing religion, which is said to be the heart of Jainism. It is bound to be individualistic, world-withdrawing and self-negating. Emphasis on renunciation, asceticism, penances etc. in the account of Sadhana given in the Acaranga is literally soul-stirring. Like Buddha, Mahavira also presented a gloomy picture of the world. `The living world is afflicted, miserable’ – thus begins the second lecture of the first book of Acaranga.

Hi! (Salaam to You: Peace be Upon you)
What a great greeting Muslims possess that whenever they meet one another, they greet peace and comfort to others.
I am Syed Waqar from Pakistan. This is an article to open the eyes of unwise people (Christians, Jews or others) with the flashing and soothing light of Islam. You know, Christians are living with disillusions, and their faith is but wishful thinking. Judo-Christian claims are not supported by the reasonable arguments about their faiths. They talk like biased people who only know but to insist.
Educated and broad-minded non-Muslims must go on thinking on the facts, which a practical life conveys. Just go through the facts what I am providing you with.
First of all, I wish to draw your attention on the birth of Jesus Prophet (Which of course is a Prophet of Islam. (Read “Jesus A Prophet of Islam”), who was born without a father. You know very well (since you have at least a bit of common sense), what is called a son without father? I don’t at all mean what is thought in this regard. We Muslims really love Jesus and respect him in a true manner what even Christians don’t possess.
But on the other hand, Muhammad Prophet came to the earth through the accurate natural order that no one can object His birth. So the atheists and seculars can object the birth of Jesus (PBUH) but they can’t do it with Muhammad (PBUH)
Secondly, would anyone tell me that did Jesus accomplish his goal of life (i. e. establishing the Kingdom of God)? No and not at all. He was crucified so cursedly according to Christian faith that He said to His Father “Oh Father, why have You forsaken me”? But our teachings tell us that a Prophet never complains since He is always a mercy for humanity. (Read “Crucifixion or Crucifiction?”)
On the other hand, Muhammad (PBUH) completed the whole of His task within His life. It seems to be a pre-planned schedule of God Who took Him back after the last revelation i. e. “Today, We have perfected Your religion and completed Our grace for You”(in April 632 AD). Just three months later, Holy Prophet passed away to meet His Creator.
In this regard, when we think, it seems quite clear that Christ (Yeshua or Massih) was in fact, Holy Prophet Muhammad. I don’t claim it but Torah and Injeel claim this fact.
So we can claim that our Holy Prophet set a Kingdom of God where no other than Allah was worshiped. But when Muslims left the teachings of Holy Prophet and followed the Western world, they met to their decline.
Thirdly, Prophet of Christianity is not an historical personality, whereas Holy Prophet (Muhammad PBUH) has been approved as an historical personality even by Christian historians and authors. On the other hand, the Christians can’t even prove it factually that there was a living Jesus in the world. I must add to make it clear that I’m asking for ‘historical presence’ and my readers very well know what does the word historical stand for? Christian apologists shouldn’t try to prove Him ‘a living Jesus who was crucified’ mythically.
The charge of Jews also proves very sound-affecting when they say, ‘if he were Christ, why had he been crucified in such a detestable manner?’
Lastly, we compare Bible and Qura’n (In the light of Science, Archaeology and Sociology). You know the language of Bible is Hebrew which is almost a dead language, whereas Quran’s language is used by more than 1 billion people even today. The recitation of Quran is conducted daily by almost a billion people especially five times in a day while praying. What is Bible in contrast? Every Sunday, (which is a Pagan day “Sun-Day”, the birth day of Sun) Christians recite Bible. So, the bases of Christianity seem to be derived from Paganism.
Historically, Bible is filled with blunders and archaeologically, it has been proved erred (Read “Quran, Bible and Science” by Morris Boscage)
Further, I must approve my view from Torah: In Torah it is written about ‘Amra’feel’ (A supposed king in the era of Ibrahim i. e. Prophet Abraham) that he fought a war with another contemporary king. But if we see archaeologically, we will find that “Homoraby” was the king ruling in the era of Abraham (21-20 century BC) and there is no such a person of the name of Amra’feel recorded throughout in the history. So the amendment of Torah has been proved (This is quoted from the Book of Genesis) . We Muslims don’t ever say that Torah is a false book and it is not inspired from God, but we claim, which we derive from Quran that Torah along with Injeel has been amended.
Quran on other hand is not so since it is ‘unchanged’ even upto now. This fact of Quran being unchanged has been admitted by Mr.William Meur (An orientalist of 19th century.) who was famous for his anti-Islam activities. He said, “I am amazed how a book could remain unchanged for 13 centuries? But this Quran has really no literal change”.
Quran even speaks about those people who were hidden to the writers of Bible. Naturally, due to their ignorance, the writers of Bible couldn’t include such people whom they didn’t know (And it is why that many of the writers of Bible’s books were not messengers of God who could directly get inspiration from God). Quran says in one of its chapters i. e. Ka’f, ” Our torment destroyed the nations of Noah … And the People of Wells.” You know sir, who these people were? These people are the forgotten people of a mighty civilization called “Indus Valley Civilization” (Situated in Pakistan). Our team of archaeologist has proved that in throughout the history, such great number of wells never existed except in Indus Valley. The excavations in this area unveiled that all of the characteristics quite suite them what Quran tells us. You can easily imagine that how superior Quran is in its truth of archaeology in order to be a Literal Word of God. Further argument in this regard can be observed in the historical perspective that Muhammad (PBUH) had never been able to visit India. He even never listened about it since this civilization was discovered in 1826 by British Army personnel ‘Charles Mason’.
Now, it is my question to you, how was such a hidden event disclosed to Muhammad? Truly, it was Allah who revealed Quran with all facts on Muhammad.
Do you know the name of “Copper Nachos”? I hope you know who charged the Bible to be wrong since Bible says, “earth is stationary” whereas he claimed earth to be moving. He was imprisoned by the contractors of Christianity in Padua, Italy.
About the beginning of this Universe, Bible says that there was a “Chaos” (Book of Genesis). Just ponder upon the word and ask yourself that what does the word “Chaos” stand for? It means “Disorder”, so according to the Bible, there was something already existed, which was in disorder form and then God ordered it in the form of universe. In this way, in fact, Bible falsifies the omnipotence and ability of God being Creator. He is only the manager of this universe in the light of above narrated view.
But on the other hand, What does Quran say about all of this.
“Why can’t these deniers see that the Earth and Heavens were merged together in a minute cosmic egg. Thus, we burst them separate to form a new universe.” (21:30) Al-Anbiya (The Prophets)
I’m sure that you very well know about the “Big Bang” theory of physics. It tells us that in beginning, universe was united in the form of a little egg of energy. Later, the event of big bang (great explosion) occurred. How beautifully Quran has uncovered the truth that science could know after 1300 years. Who told such miraculous scientific facts in 7th century AD to Muhammad (PBUH), Who was an illiterate person? This thing proves Quran to be from God as a Literal Word of God.
One thing I must add here, Quran is very strong in its views upon biology and anatomy. No one could challenge them till today except those who misunderstood or mis-interpreted it. A Canadian doctor Mr. Keith L. Moore has admitted the anatomical truths by accepting Quran to be the literal Word of God. He even mentioned the truthful theory of Quran about the development of embryo in the preface of his book. Quran’s word ‘ALLAQ’ (Leech-like embryo) was a cause of special attention for him. He said in 1981, at Dammam Saudi Arabia;
“It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify the statements in Quran about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad (PBUH) from God, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered util many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad (PBUH) must have been a messenger of God.” (Proof of this statement is a video tape namely, “It Is the Truth”, which can be taken from www.islam-guide.com )
Furthermore, the concept of God in Islam is very strong as well as doubtless as compared to the other divine beliefs. The basis of Islam is ‘accepting God to be one from heart and approving it from tongue’. He has no partner, son, and he is completely alone in His all of characteristics. Islamic God is not personified and even not exemplified in a human way. He is beyond our power of thinking and perception.
On the other hand, the concepts of Christians and Jews about god are mythical and personified. Their God is more like a man. We Muslim worship the same god what they worship but He unveiled Himself on Muhammad (PBUH) with His very own name “ALLAH”. He chose ISLAM to be the last prophethood and religion.
Most of the people can’t understand the wisdom and the light of Quran due to the lack of their own wisdom. Secondly, most of the Western people always wear an optical of prejudice while viewing Islam. It must be taken off for righteous understanding.
Quran is Mount Everest and Bible is a thumb. Quran is sun and Bible is moon. Christianity is a lantern and Islam is bright Sun.
Thanks my dear for reading it and accepting the truth. Syed Waqas
